Xcorps Action Sports Music TV 6. MX – FULL SHOW airing – This action jammed episode of the Xcorps takes the TV viewer into the world of Freestyle Motocross or MX and includes a look at the first women taking part in this eXciting motor sport!
X Corps host Jason Lazo opens things up reporting from Chula Vista California at an MTV event called Chiller Beach – a mix of X Action Sports and Music featuring the freestyle extreme MX motorcycle team the Metal Mulisha.
Mike Metzger of the MX team the Metal Mulisha charges up the MTV Chiller Beach crowd big time by hitting the jump ramp fast and pulling a BACKFLIP on his motorcycle! Since the landing is HARD DIRT if you mess up and land on your head its all over and Metzger was one of the first MX riders ever to pull off the dangerous bike move that got him GOLD in the ESPN X Games!
Jason Lazo and fellow Xcorps TV co-host Bob Woodard tour the Chiller Beach event which also included a large BMX and Skate Vert ramp competition area, a HUGE snow covered SKI RAMP competition and a big music stage! Jason talks with Metal Mulisha rider Brian Deegan about the sport he is big part of.

Covering the MX BIG AIR action Jason climbs the massive dirt kicker jump ramp built to launch the MX riders and talks to another Mulisha rider Jeremy Twitch Stenberg about this insane new action sport and some of his own signature airborne MX acrobatic moves! The sky is NOT the limit with this adrenalized crew!
Next Bob Woodard checks out the 10 story high snow covered SKI and SNOWBOARD drop ramp MTV built for this Chiller Beach event. Bob interviews Pro freestyle skiers Boyd Easley and Greg Tufflemire who are very comfortable dropping down a 100 foot ramp and launching off a HUGE halfpipe KICKER jump doing the same freestyle snow moves they would do at big mountain resorts but instead are doing them here in Southern California not far from the beach!
Bob bumps into the charmingly enthusiastic MTV Chiller Beach Girls to see how they feel at this action sports gig!
In the background the XCORPS XCAMS catch Metz pulling another BACKFLIP officially making the move now common.
Follow the action and music at main event stage with a live performance by the band Off By One whose music appears in the XC episode #4 AIRBORNE. These guys definitely have the vibe and musical skills to please the large audience no hold barred! The Xcorps cameras roll backstage where Jason raps with the San Diego band about their music and their onstage MTV day in the SUN!
Next rolling with the MX theme XCORPS host Roslyn Bradle and Jason Lazo meet up at the Lake Elsinore Caifornia MX Park to hang with the first girls of off road dirt motor cycles – The MX Girls.
MX Girls founder Michele Johnson leads the way with a dozen female MX riders right alongside riding their dirtbikes fast and hard past the XC cameras!
After the dust settles Jason talks with Michele about the adrenalized MX sport that she has learned to love and about how she became an Action Sports pioneer in a lifestyle sport dominated my men!
Roslyn Bradle checks things out at he MX park and interviews another MX girl – world class MX rider Aubriana Dunn who at 18 years old is only beginning to dominate the sport. See her weightless airborne moves on her Kawasaki Green Machine! Later on she even gives Jason a WILD ride on the back of her bike to grab some XC video B roll!

Next XCORPS TV co-host and action sports gadget guy Eric The X Guru Ducharme demos a new fun product by riding a WHEELMAN foot motorcycle for the XC cameras! After that Eric and MX legend Mike Metzger test ride the new TT50 SCREEM RACER freestyle power scooter. See how this new product holds up to Mike M going BIG and catching air on this thing in the hills of Riverside Ca.
Roslyn and Jason wrap the show back with a close from the MX Girls at Lake Elsinore followed by a short XC film piece on another Moto Cross sport legend Geremy Mcgrath at his home track tearing in up for the XCORPS cameras!

*Xcorps TV Production Tip #6. – Focus on the WOMEN of Action Sports!
This XC episode #6 MX as with many other XC shows has a pretty cutting edge happening look by focusing not only on one of the first guys to huck a MX back flip – Mike Metzger – but this show is cool also because the show focuses on the first WOMEN of Action Sports. In this XC show THE MX Girls I was originally contacted by Michele Johnson with her interest on us doing a story on them and the results can be seen in the above TV show!
It was a blast shooting several times with Michele and the MX Girls at different locations in southern California!
As a recommended TV production element consciously choosing to include WOMEN and what they are doing in Action and Extreme Sports is a good idea for capturing some fun and compelling TV content!
From the start of the XC TV series I have given focus to individual women and groups like the MX Girls as seen as half the XC #7 MX episode content.
It’s NOT that hard to find Women in Action Sports pulling BIG stunts of their own like in our BASE jumping and MX and MX GIRLS episodes so make your production move and include the gals too in your show!
