Xcorps Action Sports Music TV 8. SURF – FULL SHOW airing – The soulful cool Action Sport of Surfing is the focus of this Xcorps TV episode featuring a Surf trip south of the border and out into to Sea to the notorious island of Todos Santos off Ensenada Mexico!
Also on this show you will see an exclusive interview with surf Pipeline and Big Wednesday Film legend Gerry Lopez at his home in Maui Hawaii to talk about the first and second Pipeline Masters!
Xcorps TV hosts Jason Lazo and Roslyn Bradle open up this scenic show from the beach in Santa Monica California where Jason recalls his recent XC shoot with some local San Diego surfers to the island of Todos Santos Mexico known for some of the Biggest Waves in North America!
Follow the XCAMS to Todos Santos Island driving from San Diego California across the Mexican border then along the Baja California coast going south to the coastal town of Ensenada. Cameras rolled with Jason walking the dockside streets of Ensenada at 7am after a glorious sunrise and a shot of some of the FATTEST Harbor Seals ever filmed!
The original plan was for the show to simply follow the X Team on their 13 mile Pacific Ocean boat ride West from Ensenada Mexico to the tiny uninhabited rocky island of Todo Santos which is really a underwater mountain top with DEEP OCEAN water surrounding it and thus causing BIG waves to slosh up there. But something outside the original shoot plan happened in between Ensenada and Todos Santos island and is another story indeed…Stay Tuned!
This segment of the show follows Jason and the crew leaving Ensenada harbor Mexico on a bluebird morning in a rented boat – an classic old cabin cruiser then breaking down dead in the water 10 miles off the coast in BIG Seas!
The original XC shoot plans were off though the party was definitely still on!
Follow the action and DRAMA with a radio call and a long tide changing wait and a ‘Rescue’ by a 20 foot fiberglass homemade open PONGA boat complete with a few lawn chairs and NOT a LIFE VEST in sight in the open deep ocean! The unreinforced plastic hull sounded like a thin drum head with the ocean waves banging against it AND we were loading it up with lot of guys and gear and WEIGHT and no back up boat! Stay Tuned!
In this show XCORPS TV crosses the border heading south for Ensenada Mexico then overcoming challenges such as a boat breakdown and open ocean transfer of surf and shoot gear to a PONGA 10 miles off the coast!
See how this X TEAM eventually DOES reach and ride the open ocean waves at a break called Killers!
Also Featured in this episode Xcorps TV goes to another island in exotic Hawaii to Maui to visit and interview ‘Pipeline’ surf legend Gerry Lopez to talk to him about the early days of Pipeline and how he was the first to be a regular wave rider there.
The Xcams rolled as Gerry talks about the early days – the FIRST Pipeline Masters held on the North Shore of Oahu and to Gerry the more important 2nd Pipeline Masters! Though Gerry would probably have won it see why he missed the 1st ‘Pipeline Masters’ surf event.
Included in this journalistic XCORPS segment is the other side of the story why Gerry Lopez missed the 1st Pipeline Masters from fellow surfer Corky Carroll shot by JSE in Huntington Beach Ca.

The next XCTV segment rolls the cameras to the cool hills above Maui back at the Gerry Lopez Island Pad and into his garage where under some dust our cameras filmed the original ‘Lightning Bolt’ surf board from the 1978 Warner Bros. cult movie Big Wednesday starring Gerry and actors Jan-Michael Vincent, William Katt and Gary Busey.

Up for auction one rare SURFBOARD do we hear….
After that the show swings back to the California coast where Roslyn Bradle swings the show to an Xcorps X Products segment with The X Guru – Eric Ducharme riding the new SiKK Bike – the worlds smallest motorcycle.
Jason Lazo closes out the show from Todos Santos with a few more Big Ocean Waves along with a promise in the next XC show the return of B.A.S.E. jumper Ray Murphy to the next show with his own version of SiKK action- jumping the sheer cliffs of Copper Canyon Mexico!
